Each sculpture is one of a kind and hand crafted. Made of recycled toys which are bonded together and then coated in a High Gloss polyurethane lacquer.
I'd love to have a go doing this. It doesn't just have to be old toys I assume you could use so many different objects from around the house.
And now for some more boring photos of bees. Sorry but they do look beautiful on these flowers.
I love this last shot of the bee in the background just flying away to work on a new flower.
Check out the flowers when the weather changed and it started to rain. Look at the way the rain drops collected on the petals. Nature sure is amazing.
And finally a photo I saw in a magazine taken by Tom Craig. He said:
"I was following these two men in matching tops down Oxford Street to take a picture when they passed this couple in vintage clothes. The walk sign was a bonus."
What a great shot which actually shows the interesting side of London, and also nowadays when it comes to fashion, anything goes.

Wow, such a mixed post. I loved those sculptures, I'd love to do this with some of the old kitchen utensils we have.
ReplyDeleteAs for those flowers, wonderfully vibrant colours, they've cheered up what has been a very wet day here in the NE of England.
OH.MY.GOSH, your images are AWESOME!!! How did you manage to get that bee to be still enough for such crystal clear shots? And I love the water drops! You put me to shame and I just might have to hate you. Just kidding... but I am green with envy.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics you took! And I love that last one - 50s vs. 90s?
ReplyDeleteI never grow tired of pictures of bees. Never.
ReplyDeleteMy son is 17 and has loads of toys. I could do this craft. My son would never speak to me again but I could do this.
Your bee/flower photos are far from boring. They're quite spectacular, IMO!!
ReplyDeleteI think the sculptures are quite clever. Wouldn't that be a great way to preserve some of your kids' favorite toys?!
Wow, such amazing photos, I love your ones the most!
ReplyDeleteThat's one powerful macro lens you've got -- look at the details you've captured on the bees' wings -- yowza!
ReplyDeleteBRILLIANT post. I am in awe at your flower and bee shots - and love the toy sculptures too.
ReplyDeleteI'm visually stimulated, and your pics are making my eyes smile
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of your cam's macro ability - cool!
