Don't let the scary clowns put you off!

Time for this weeks I Spy hosted by Dazee and Christy. I'm not really sure these photos fit into the theme of this blog which is meant to be anything cool. But here goes!

POLE
This ugly eyesore is in our front garden. It supplies all the power into our home, and in fact the house next door too. So as ugly as it, I wouldn't want to live without it.

.. even if it looks like something from a Nazi concentration camp.

These are my favourites lights in our house. Each shade is on bending metal pole.

Fresh out of the camera. I took this shot today at our local garden centre. I never realised they had a Union Jack flag on a pole outside. And check out the depressing weather too.

MY CHOICE
What I didn't mention on my other blog was at the same time as buying my Angry Birds t-shirt I just had to buy this horrible Clown t-shirt too. It was only $3. I wonder why, I can't think. My partner said "I think this is the most hideous t-shirt I've ever seen".

I know, I know, but you see ever since I saw my new neighbour, the Heidi look alike, I realised that I needed a new t-shirt to wear outside when I'm in the yard. My old one looked really crap, and even though the clowns are pretty creepy, I do think the artwork is amazing. Even my 18 year old agreed with me on that. Plus hopefully it will give the image that I'm not the type of person who wants to invited over for a coffee morning.

  1. Ha! I love the shirt. Reminds me of Stephen King's villain in "It". Very cool!

I love your lights. And the gloomy reminds me of here. We have a lot of overcast days in the winter. We're too far north.

  2. oh my. I can't believe that power pole in your yard. It was almost as scary looking as your clown shirt. I wouldn't want to run into you in a dark alley while you were wearing that one. Even tho, in a scary way, it is rather cool.

  3. While that pole in your yard may be hideous, I think you took some great shots of it. I love the close up on the barbed wire. I love the lamp too, that's too cool:-) The shirt, oh how I love the shirt. So much so that I actually told my boyfriend he should buy it when we saw it months ago at a local Walmart. Of course he did cause I have awesome taste & he agrees:-) He wears it around his son to freak him out, I agree with you... the art is pretty awesome & I'm weird...I actually like clowns:-)

  4. Ummmm, I'm not real sure what to think of that clown shirt!

We have a lamp like that one you show, only ours is all in brass. We got it for 99 cents once as a bonus with a set of furniture we'd bought!

  8. Eeeeeeeeeeeek... even friendly-looking clowns have always scared me! I don't think I could have that shirt in my house -- if I knew it was there, I wouldn't be able to sleep... :)

  9. Hmmm I wonder if your Electric company wants to keep folks from playing with the transformer?

    Oh look, a sculpted plant-

That IS a hideous clown pic- especially the weird teeth on them!
More along the lines of "The Joker" in Batman cartoons, illustrating his crazy emotional condition... Yes the form variety, design, n tonality are good. 3 bux, you can't lose!
