I couldn't resist joining in with I Spy this week as I'm a big fan of the prompt.
GLASS(S)
I have to admit I'm not a big fan of glasses, although if I didn't wear them for reading, I wouldn't be here writing this now, but I am into glass.
Here is a photo of one of my favourite things in our home. A large glass sphere that my mother had in her house and was going to send to a charity shop. We ended up being the charity.
I've been helping my daughter take photos for her A Level photography exam and ended up with this shot of the rain on the window.
I've shown these photos before on my old Coolness blog of our extension on the back of our house, and although it's more furnished now, it does highlight how much I love windows and glass, and bringing the outside, inside.
MY CHOICE
Ice, ice baby. This is what is hanging from the outside of our house at the moment, and snow is forecast for Saturday night.
Just check out the length of this icicle.

Love all your photos Joey, we are having cold here too, and snow, you know what makes me go aww, seeing small icicles at the bottom of cars.
ReplyDeleteAww bless. Just think of the rust! :D
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the sphere with the bokah effect. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI love windows too. I think they just add their own architectural aspect to any house.
Joey. I really need to take lessons from you on photography. Those were all sooooo beautiful. And I love, love, love, the back of your house. Wow.
ReplyDeleteThat icicle was amazing. It reminds me of being a kid. Don't laugh, I was one once. :)
I like that glass sphere. I think some of my favorite glass is Murano glass. Wouldn't it be fun to learn how to actually blow glass and create that stuff??
ReplyDeleteThat's a whopper of an icicle! You could use it as a murder weapon then the evidence would melt away! (I think I've seen that used in a book before)
Oh wow -- I LOVE the back of your house! I'm crazy about light in my house -- I think I'm partly solar-powered. :) When we were looking for a condo to buy, I HAD to find one with big windows to let plenty of light in. Floor to ceiling windows are ideal! :)
